The organized unit of United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Recurring Events: 

2nd & 4th Friday, 10 am – 2:30 pm – Sewing Sisters – Fun and fellowship can be found in Rm 10 (lower level), Bldg 1.  Whether you’re creative or not, you can get involved in several projects to benefit Haiti or local charities. Bring a bagged lunch. Contact Lynn Rouse for more information.

Swansboro United Women in Faith (SUWF)

All women are invited to participate in UWF events. Membership is open to women beyond Swansboro UMC who are interested in our mission and “living the vision.”  Join us and share in this opportunity for service to missions and fellowship. It’s a wonderful way to make new friends and enjoy Christian fellowship. We provide the knowledge of the glory of God, enabling us and other women to become strong, independent, resourceful, and supportive of God’s mission through the global ministries of the church. Circles

Our Swansboro United Women in Faith (SUWF) connect in small groups referred to as Circles.

SUMC has five circles – offering our women a variety of meeting times and mission opportunities.

Monthly Meetings

  • 2nd Wednesday
    • Morning Circle 10:30 – 12    (Local Mission Projects and Card Ministry)
    • Afternoon Circle 4 – 5:30    (Supports Methodist Home for Children, New Bern, NC)
    • 2 – Night Circles 7 – 8:30     (1-Supports Hope Mission/Comfort Bags to local schools; 2-Book Study Group)
  • 2nd Sunday
    • Afternoon Circle 4 – 6     (Supports Haiti and Local Missions)
