The Emmaus Class was formed originally in 1996 as a Pastors’ “Methodism 101” course which studied United Methodist Doctrine, John Wesley, and spiritual formation. From this original group, the Emmaus class came into being in 1999. Adults of various ages enjoy the study of scripture through classic and contemporary literature. Though this group is small, it works! Several of the classmates serve as Children Sunday school teachers every other month, and yet others fill church leadership positions, so a flexible study is offered where others can always join in any time.

This class is a ‘joy’ful group that studies books, topics, and the lectionary. They also share thanksgivings and concerns and have a vital prayer and card ministry. This lively group of adults of all ages finds joy in putting Jesus and others before themselves. We welcome newcomers — for a just visit or to become a regular.

The lesson format is a mixture of lectures, questions, and answers with much discussion. The class members range in age from young couples to grandparents. This fall we are doing an in-depth study of the book of Galatians. Class members are encouraged to participate in lively discussions with their questions and comments. If you are not in a Sunday School class at present, you are invited to be part of the Logos class. You are welcome to join this class at any time.

The Seekers Class searches for the word of GOD by Daily and Weekly study, using the Cokesbury Press Bible Studies materials. Our daily readings at home prepare us for our lively Sunday School class which is a facilitated discussion. Every class member is encouraged to participate in the discussion. With our Class, though we may be apart due to absence, we are always together seeking Him daily in our readings.
Come try us for a month or two and you may find yourself staying permanently. Our class rotates the responsibility of leadership monthly.

The Sojourners class was formed in 1988. Our aim is to provide an in-depth study of scripture beginning with the historical setting of the writing and the original meaning to the first readers. There is also emphasis upon the interpretation and use of scripture through out the history of the church, with emphasis on the application of the scripture in everyday life. The class is open to adults of all ages.
